i remember when…

A year ago, I was wide awake thru the middle of the night in a hotel in Shanghai anxiously following my friends and frankly, idols, thru out their day at Kona. #onlydreaming

Riding the QueenK, that one time, that it was sooo hot and I said “i would never race on Hawaii again”. #busted! #thistimeiwillwearsunscreen

I would frantically flip between every page possible to see who was at Lava Java, who was caught swimming at the Pier and who was so lucky to be going to the pro parties. Yesterday, I got to experience The Corbinator in her element, with her crew including the SuperFans+SuperHumans, Sue + Chloe Hutter!

I also remember…

what it felt like to run down the finish shoot at IM Canada with Steve King announcing my name, best friends + loved ones lining the street with beaming smiles and a clock that read “goal time”. The aftermath looked a lil something like this:

when i woke up in KONA! Saw my name printed on the back of the race shirts (that must mean it is for real!) and a text from Newton that said “we have a surprise for you”…..#whaaaaaaaaat.

With that, I’m off to Lava Java pre-underwear run. Let’s go make magic…let’s make memories…and let’s make ‘em real good!
